LAMORINDOPOLY JUST IN TIME FOR THE HOLIDAYS!

I’m Rebecca, founder of Lamorinda Strong, and we’re creating something really fun for the holidays — LamorindaPoly, a local board game celebrating all the places, schools, businesses and organizations that make Lafayette, Moraga & Orinda feel like home.

When we started this project, I had three things I really wanted:

1. For it to be a genuinely FUN representation of Lafayette, Moraga & Orinda — the places, businesses, organizations and little inside jokes that make Lamorinda Lamorinda.
2. For it to give back to our community.

Our original cost came in at almost $56 PER GAME, and that was BEFORE any labor, transportation, payment/platform fees, delivery, storage and all the other little things that magically appear when you decide, “Hey, let's make our own board game!”To make this actually feasible, something pretty amazing happened: Local businesses, families AND volunteers stepped up.Sponsors helped underwrite the cost. Volunteers have put in an incredible amount of time helping bring this idea to life. And because of them, we're able to do something I really wanted from the beginning: 500 Founders Edition games are being ordered.

100 of those games are being given back to the community.The other 400 help make the entire project possible.    Sooooo when you see a local business, family or donor represented in LAMORINDOPOLY, know that they did more than put their name on a board.They helped make the board possible.
