College & Career Advisor, Miramonte High School | Founder, Amazing Journey Advising

AJ Brown is a storyteller at heart — a passion that's shaped a winding path through advertising, a decade as General Manager of the California Academy of Performing Arts, and, ultimately, college counseling. Raised in Moraga and a graduate of Miramonte High School, AJ went on to attend UCLA and UC Berkeley before completing UC Berkeley's graduate certification program in college admissions advising. AJ is a member of IECA and WACAC.

Now serving as Miramonte's college admissions consultant and running her own private practice, Amazing Journey Advising, AJ is known for helping students shift from dreading the essay process to genuinely enjoying it — helping them find not just what to say, but how to say it in their own voice.
